Witches, Plays, and Movies! OH MY!

Hello and welcome to this special and long viewing of the best blog (next to some more high tech people) ever! Just so you know if you were ever going to see Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Pt. One or go see Wicked in Kalamazoo or go see my play 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'.

Like my aunt once said on her blog BEWARE FOR EXTREME SPOILERS
I'M NOT KIDDING........EXTREME.......I GIVE AWAY EVERYTHING

First off on December 4th I went to go see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Pt. One. It was a very good movie and I enjoyed it very much seeing it with my Aunt Sarah. The movie was very well played and unlike other movies based off of books it had a special feel that made you actually want to continue watching it. Everything, even the scary snakes were good. I know that my Aunt loves Ron and Hermione together and there 'secret' not so secret relationship. It was very cute and the whole way they played it was.

However the deaths were very awkward. I was puzzled as to how Hedwig just died. Like the side of the vehicle hit her and she just died. She fell, and she died. There was not much to it. I think that the theater probably hated us because I cracked jokes every time something bad happened. SPOILER! I especially made my aunt laugh when Dobby's death occurred. I want to point out that Harry's British accent can confuse people regarding many words. So when Dobby died and Harry says "I want to bury him." some people may think Harry said "I want to marry him," I laughed a lot which wasn't supposed to happen in such a serious scene.

My second thing or item or whatever I am reviewing will be A Charlie Brown Christmas because my Wicked discussion will be so long you will never stop reading this post. Anyway, on December 11th and 12th I will be performing a special play you might have heard of before titled 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' I will be playing the role of Violet Gray not to be confused with the two colors. My bestie, Meghann Butchart, had the role of Lucy Van Pelt.

I hope that all of you reading my blog will be able to come see it and love it as much as I do!

On the best note of all I would like to inform you that on December 5th I went to see the play WICKED. Normally on like, Broadway it would be starring Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth but I saw it with Vicky Noon and Natalie Daradich. It was the most incredible play ever!

First of all, we were in the front row and I could see everything including the orchestra pit! It was so cool! Plus it gives you a COMPLETELY different feel than you did in the Wizard of OZ. The whole time you were rooting for Elphaba (the wicked witch of the west) instead of hating her. By the way, the only reason she was angry at Dorothy was because she had Nessaroses' shoes who was her sister who was the one who got hit with Dorothy's house.

There was so much to go along with this play the music was amazing, you learn why Elphie was so evil, and you see the true Glinda or Galinda. It was so incredible!

Emily :)

  1. Good blog!

Hedwig died because one of the death eaters used the killing curse(avada kedavra)on her. Once it hits you, you are down for the count! So long, Hedwig :(

I can't wait to see your play tomorrow! You and Meghann will be great. Break a leg, girls!

I would love to see Wicked if it comes back here. I bet Grandma would like it too. I'm happy you loved it so much!

  3. Awesome blog as usual, Em! I didn't read the HP stuff because of the EXTREME spoilers. Plus I saw "death" and "died" and "dead" all throughout it. Your play was fantastic. I'm glad you liked Wicked. It was a great time.

  4. Thanks so much. Yes, "dead" and "death" and "died" are a huge concept in the stories. Hey I have an idea! How about you start reading them again that way it won't be such a spoiler!
